Little tomato-like fruit
This plant's a Nightshade
Naughty baby holds
bitten orange fruit in hand
Feigns another bite
Mama looks it up
Page online says "poisonous"
Big sister freaks out
"Will she be okay?
I don't want baby to die!"
"Calm down, sweetie pie."
Call Poison Control
Fruit is only poisonous
if lots is eaten
Worst case for baby
is a bad taste in her mouth
She nurses it out
Baby acting fine
This one is far more trouble
than her big sister

Great 'ku. SO glad baby is ok! :)
fantastic Haikus! glad baby is okay...what a scare!
Yikes! Scary stuff. One time my daughter ate the little packet of stuff out of new shoes. Poison Control said no worries but scary. Great haiku...
Yes, I have called Poison Control a few times in the past. My daughter broke a small Christmas globe containing snow sprinkles and some kind of liquid that she drank a little of along with eating some broken glass. They said she would be o.k. and the small glass would get covered with mucous and pass right along. She survived.
I am glad it turned out okay. You told this story well. :)
I hope big sister isn't scarred for life.
A wonderful series. Glad to hear it all worked out. I bet big sister asks for assurance each time she wants to try something new.

Ooooh...So glad baby is fine!!!!
You're very descriptive with your haikus. You're toddler sounds so much like mine. Pure stinker. And, your older daughter's worry is so endearing!
holy crap! i would have freaked out. what an excellent haiku! it had drama and even some rhyme. Color me impressed.
OMG, I'm glad she's ok! Reading that scared the bejeebus out of me!
And the fact that you were able to tell the story in haiku form is completely awesome. You have a talent for it.
